The Echo and the Bunnymen Podcast

Begun on September 20th, 2018,  Is There An Echo In Here? is a thoughtful, chatty, relaxed – but supremely detailed – podcast about Echo and the Bunnymen. It’s created by a husband/wife American duo in Asheville, North Carolina.

Is There An Echo In Here? is hosted by occasional clip director,  and artist Courtney Chappell and partner Shane Parish, guitarist in the instrumental prog punk band Ahleuchatistas. You can find out more about every episode in the Echo and the Bunnymen podcast at the wonderful Podtoppen.

The wildly creative Shane and Courtney are a long way from Liverpool. Yet, everything from Ian McCulloch’s childhood is here (Episode Three), to Episode Twenty-Five – Echo and the Bunnymen and The Fall about Mark E. Smith and Mac.

Their words: “We prepared interview questions for one another, such as “Who is your favorite Bunnyman?”,  “Who is your favorite non-Bunnyman?”,  “What has it been like to meet other Bunnyfans as a result of the podcast?” This Echo and the Bunnymen podcast is as much a global hub for like-minded people, as a show.

Is There An Echo In Here?

This podcast has to cover a lot of ground, from the mid-1980’s when Echo and the Bunnymen were on Top of the Pops and on the cover of teenage fan magazines – to the global revival of 2021 and beyond. It does so really well.
