We’re glad that Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds kept on tending to their magical music garden during Australia’s drought, as here we are in 2020, the skies have just opened, drenching Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria… and the band is about to go into full bloom once mores.
For while they released their latest album Ghosteen in October 2019 (so hopefully you’ve already chosen your favourite tracks) now comes the extra fun part – a tour around Europe which kicks off at Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal on 19 April 2020, before heading to locations in France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland and more…you get the picture! The final show is in Tel Aviv, Israel on 17 June 2020. Super loyal fans will no doubt already be planning a holiday to one of destinations the band are performing in (hopefully after they’ve already secured the tickets to the show!). See their official site for full tour schedule.
Nick has also announced a new book Stranger Than Kindness will be released on 23 March 2020 to coincide with The Nick Cave Exhibition opening in Copenhagen. Copies of the book can be pre-ordered now through the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds official website.
And the sprinkles on the icing on the cake?? A limited edition vinyl figure of Nick Cave titled ‘Loverman’ – after the bands 1994 single of the same name – is already on sale, timed so you can purchase pre-Valentine’s day on the Plasticgod. There are only 500 available for sale (US$75 each) so if this would make your day, hurry to snap one up before they sell out.

AMMP would also like to mention the generous donation founding members of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Nick Cave & Warren Ellis – announced they’d be making via Instagram on 9 January 2020. The pair pledged a total of AU$500,000, which is to be shared between various Australian organisations who are working tirelessly to help communities and wildlife around the country in the aftermath of the 2019-2020 Bushfires. Hats off to both Nick and Warren.
